Two starting points
Try a time series or categories
The editor starts empty. Choose a sample only when you want to inspect the chart workflow without bringing your own file.
Opening a source and building a chart are separate operations. Use the chart dialog to choose X and Y expressions, inspect the preview, and export the result.
Check the data behind the shape
Line and area charts work well for ordered dates. Bar charts compare categories. Pie and doughnut charts need nonnegative parts of a whole and one row per category; do not assume duplicate categories have been aggregated. Check missing or quoted numbers before interpreting the plot.
The index example is fictional, S&P 500-like data for demonstrating a time series, not live market data or investment advice. The regional sales figures are illustrative.
Privacy-first charting processes pasted or opened JSON locally. This tool does not submit your source to our servers; charting a large or complex source may still take time after it has opened.
