Caveat: The output is not a single JSON document; parse each line independently.
Format constraints
Requires a root array. Each item becomes one line without an enclosing array; an empty array yields an empty file.
Opening a large file and exporting it are separate operations. Output size and compatibility depend on the source shape and the selected format.
